1. Council should continue to lobby for major development in the Bankstown City Centre and other employment hubs - including accommodating and encouraging sustainable and continued growth of Bankstown Airport.
2. Improve links between Bankstown TAFE, UWS Milperra and the wider community. Fee Wi-Fi in the City Centre could assist in bringing students into the city centre.
3. Try to attract government departments, specialist services and professionals to the City Centre to increase local job opportunities.
4. Council should have a preference, and encourage local businesses to also have preference, to hiring staff who reside locally.
5. Council should assist in the establishment of a stronger Bankstown Chamber of Commerce and also establish a committee involving Council, the community, major local businesses (Bankstown Airport, Fairfax, Bankstown Sports Club, News Ltd), educational institutes etc - to continually workshop and discuss ideas and implement strategies for continued growth and development.
