Bankstown City Council's draft 2012-13 Operational Plan, Delivery Program and Long Term Financial Strategy are now on public exhibition and inviting comments.

Council is committed to delivering the goals of the Community Plan 2021, through two key strategic plans. The Delivery Program, which contains the broad goals and strategies for 2011-2015 and the Operational Plan that details key services, projects and works planned for 2012-2013.The Long Term Financial Strategy Update contains important financial information such as rates, fees and charges for 2012-2013. These documents have been broken down into sections and are available through the document library.

Council proposes to spend $2.2 million on upgrades to aquatic centres, libraries, sporting facilities and other council buildings in 2012-13. In particular, $1.3 million spent on upgrades to Panania and Chester Hill libraries.

Rates, Fees & Charges

Council proposes to increase the 2012-2013 rates by the approved statutory rate of 3.6% (announced by IPART). Fees and Charges are proposed to increase in 2012-13 by 3.2% to reflect the true costs of services and community service obligations. Do you have any comments about any of these proposed changes?
